Ananda Yoga for Higher Awareness is an inward, balanced approach to Hatha Yoga with emphasis on the physical, mental and spiritual benefits.
Our approach emphasizes dynamic relaxation through the various postures, combined with breathing techniques and mental focus. The result is physical rejuvenation, mental clarity and a deeper sense of inner peace.
Classes are suitable for all levels. Wear comfortable clothing.

Raja Yoga

This 8-week course is Ananda's most comprehensive study of yoga principles. Each class will include the practice of the Energization Exercises and gentle Ananda Yoga for Higher Awareness. You will also learn new pranayams and techniques for meditation, as well as study many new aspects of yoga philosophy: chakras, history & paths of yoga, Patanjali's eight-fold path, energy, guru-disciple relationship, yamas & niyamas and much more.

Attunement to the Masters Discipleship

Fridays, June 14 & 21 (2 week series)

Cost: $40 (Includes text book $14.95) or $25 if you already own the text book
This 2-week course is for those who feel the calling to this particular ray of Self-realization offered through Ananda. We explore the Guru-Disciple relationship: what is a guru and what does it mean to become a disciple; do we need a guru; attunement; the guru as a Divine Friend. A Discipleship Ceremony is offered upon completion for those who feel inspired.The Aum Technique of meditation is then offered to those who have already studied Beginning Meditation & would like to continue preparing for Kriya initiation
Before Kriya Initiation, aspirants must learn to meditate through Ananda's beginning meditation classes and attend an 8-week Raja Yoga course, this Guru/Disciple class plus a Kriya Preparation course..

Experiencing Pranayama

Even count breathing is familiar to many of us, but there are dozens of different, more powerful pranayama. We invite you to experience advanced pranayama as they never before have been taught in Dallas. Encouraged by Paramhansa Yogananda and Swami Kriyananda, the pranayama breathing techniques help to provide energy control. The meditation experience is deeply enhanced by Ananda's Pranayama.
The flow is a Sadhana including Energization Exercises, Ananda Yoga, guided Pranayama (energy control), and then your own meditation. Three pranayama are taught in each class. In addition to pranayama, the related bandhas, retentions and mudras are explained and enjoyed together
