Sunday Satsang at Ananda is inspired by the meditation tradition of the East and the ancient teachings of mystical Christianity, with inspirational readings from both the Bible and the Bhagavad Gita. Service includes music, group chanting and meditation.
Brahmachari Jemal met Swami Kriyananda in 2003. He asked Jemal to move to India in 2004 and join the newly founded monastery there. In 2009 Swamji asked Jemal to be Head of the monks. He held that position until 2015. Swami asked Jemal to work on a solar project for Ananda. One can see a little of that work in the movie “Finding Happiness.” Jemal’s life is outwardly dedicated to spreading Master’s and Swami’s work. He along with Nayaswami Devarshi co-founded the Ananda Kriya Yoga Home Study Course. They teach 1000’s of students worldwide the steps leading up to Kriya.
Jemal lives in the monastery which has been in Khandala, India for the last 2 years, but is now shifting to Chandigarh. The monks are in the process of purchasing a piece of land to permanently establish the monastery.
